Water, Sewer & Garbage: Garbage pickup is every Thursday. Please have tote in boulevard not in street. Household trash only. You are responsible for your own tote. $50.00 fee for water hookups and turn on. Water bills are due the 15th of each month. Campers need to contact City each Spring & Fall to have water turned on and off. May 15th thru October 15th or so weather permitting.
Landfill: Open Wed. from 5-7pm and Sat. from 10-noon. Trees, leaves, wood, appliances and metal only. NO tv’s, mattresses, carpet, tires, furniture or plastic. A dumpster will be available Spring and Fall for these items and will be located inside the dump. Hours may change. Hours posted on city door.
Storm Shelter: Basement of USDA building located at 210 Main St. Please use North door.
Pets: City licenses are due in May each year. Dogs $10 & Cats $5. Pets need to be vaccinated. Please bring copy to City. All pets need to be on a leash. Respect your neighbors. This includes campers. If you choose not to follow the rules the police will ticket you up to $500 per dog per City ordinance.
Grass: Please keep your grass mowed. DO NOT blow grass clippings into the street. You will be fined per ordinance. Lots not mowed will be mowed by City and charged $100.00 per hour.
Golf Carts: No kids can drive golf carts or ATV’S. This is a City ordinance. You need a valid driver’s license to drive one. Too many kids not obeying the rules of the road. No motorized vehicles on the levee.
Fire Pits: Please have a wire/mesh type cover on your fire pits. NO open burning allowed inside city limits.
Contractors: Any contract work being done inside City limits such as sewer and water work needs to be licensed and bonded in ND. Approval needs to be done before work is started. |
